The structure of the “Learning Self-Awareness Program”
Phase 0: completing a learning-diagnostic questionnaire through the learning development program, jointly evaluating the results obtained, planning the pace of the joint work, getting to know learning types, the functioning of the brain hemispheres, „bridge-building”
Phase 1: individual work: reviewing the organizational-learning environment, mastering quality background organization and the technique of conscious planning, (in the case of a group, through cooperative work) „creating” the ideal learning environment, optimal time management in both life and learning
Phase 2: examining the first stage of learning in small-group development: ways of receiving incoming information, processing written and heard text, keyword note-taking, reading-technique development
Phase 3: small-group joint work: possible ways of processing written or heard learning material, e.g.: keyword note-taking, creating acronyms, encoding-decoding, “What do teachers ask?”, „What’s on a good cheat sheet?” (filtering direct and indirect information), creating and interpreting diagrams and tables, mind maps
Phase 4: small-group work: output phase, oral answering, test writing, conscious handling of verbal and non-verbal signs, successful self-definition
Phase 5: managing exam anxiety
Phase 6: eye exercises (reducing the harmful effects of monitor and phone screens)
Phase 7: individual work: regular self-monitoring using the opening assessment, evaluation of the joint work, organizing follow-up meetings, tracking progress based on individual discussion
