Open your workbook at Step VII, that is, the exercises on pages 18-19!
Our lesson material:
I. Review:
Do you remember that in previous lessons we talked about how there is no such thing as a „good student” and a „bad student”, there is only a STUDENT! Whoever studies will be successful; they are the student, because they work on their tasks. Whoever doesn’t study, doesn’t reach their goals, because they don’t put in the necessary work.
We ARE STUDENTS, meaning we take steps toward our goals, we consciously build up our tasks, as the playful exercises below also show!
II. Our weekly topic:
The ACTIVE LEARNER
Please look at the exercises on page 18 as a whole, because the answer is hidden somewhere within the question!
Exercises to complete: page 18 / tasks 1, 2, 3, and page 19 / task 4.
Read the section next to the „A Little Hint” pictogram, which explains that you approach the material from a different perspective, draw, think, and instead of memorizing the knowledge, try to make it feel real to yourself, looking for connections to other subjects!
The keywords of the crossword puzzle are all characteristics of the active learning process, and they help you fill in the bubble exercise on page 19.
The section next to the TMT pictogram is the „Truth Set in Stone”, copy it onto a note and put it somewhere clearly visible for yourself, so you never forget it while studying!
Don’t have the Playful Stepping Stones workbook? As an exception, you can now download the relevant exercises.
III. Now it’s your turn!
When you’re done, write two sentences to info@kozsan.x3d.hu about what you learned from today’s material, and how you think the active learner studies?
You can also take a photo of the finished task and attach it, I’ll accept that as a solution too!
